Grateful for friend's encouragement of others
Amid all the well-deserved praises for the life of the late Dorothy
Roth, who died May 31, one element was missing — her generosity in
giving others kudos and encouragement.
Whenever there was a letter to the editor composed by me or my husband, there always was a phone call or note from Dorothy thanking us for its quality and for submitting it. Whenever Dorothy learned of an organization or cause one or both of us was supporting, she phoned to say thank-you and give us support.
As we give thanks for the exceptional life of Dorothy Roth, we also need to remember her for thanking others.
